Freehold towns from $799,106
Brand new freehold towns in Oakville, with the grand opening on Saturday, October 24, 2026.
*Caivan shows this price with a footnote on its own site. Ask me what it covers before you count on it.
What freehold means
You own the house and the land under it. There's no condo corporation, so there's no monthly condo fee.
How it compares
In September 2026, the freehold towns that sold in Oakville averaged $1,167,320 across 27 sales. In August the average was $1,052,614 across 37 sales. That's every resale town that sold, big and small, so it isn't apples to apples with the starting price of the smallest new one. It still gives you a sense of the gap. Source: TRREB Market Watch.

The HST rebate on new homes
If a brand new home is going to be where you live, and you sign with the builder by March 31, 2027, you could get up to $130,000 back.
- Ontario gives back its 8% to every eligible buyer, not just first time buyers.
- The 5% comes back from Ottawa if you're a first time buyer, and from Ontario if you're not.
- It's the full 13% up to $1 million. The maximum holds to $1.5 million, then it shrinks.
- Resale homes don't qualify. It has to come from a builder.
Some builders now show their prices with the rebate already taken off. Always ask what the price is before the rebate.
